Be Well Solutions (BWS) is a comprehensive corporate wellness company staffed by professionals experienced in patient care and education. Our focus is to build custom employee wellness programs including corporate biometric screenings, health risk assessments, onsite flu clinics and more.

Why is my company offering this program?

The comprehensive workplace wellness offering is an impactful benefit for all employees. In general, an employee workplace wellness program is offered for the health and well-being of employees as well as the concern about the rising cost of healthcare.

Research indicates that many serious diseases are preventable through lifestyle changes. The employee workplace wellness program is designed to reduce the risk of disease and support the adoption of healthy habits by employees who want to improve their own health and fitness levels.

At BWS, we believe that healthcare should start before you get sick. By attending the corporate biometric screening, you become aware of your numbers (i.e. cholesterol, glucose, etc.) and learn prevention strategies to reduce your risk factors for heart disease, stroke, metabolic syndrome and more.

How do I enroll in the workplace wellness program? Are there certain requirements and/or deadlines to adhere to?

Will my employer see my results?

No. Per our privacy policy, BWS will not share your individual results with your employer. They will be given a report that provides an overview of the organization’s risk factors (as a whole). Individual results are not shared without your permission.

Is this program legal?

Yes. Be Well Solutions provides employee wellness programs in compliance with the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) incentives for Non-Discriminatory Wellness Programs in Group Health Plans. This allows employers to adjust healthcare costs for those on the health plan who meet certain health goals. At BWS, we adhere to all ACA, HIPAA, GINA, and ADA protocols. This ensures that your personal information, including your testing results, will not be shared with any unauthorized parties, including your employer.

Do I have to participate?

No. Participation in the employee wellness program is completely voluntary. However, if you choose not to participate, you may miss out on resources made available to you and paid for by your employer (such as unlimited access to Health Coaches, Dietitians and Personal Trainers), in addition to financial incentives. As such, you may be responsible for contributing an additional amount towards your health insurance premium.

What can I do to improve my health?

Enroll in, and participate in the wellness program! Contact BWS for information regarding your organization’s specific wellness services.

What if I am unable to complete certain activities due to medical reasons?

In that case, alternate options (Reasonable Alternatives) suggested by a BWS physician will be used to ensure your ability to satisfy the wellness program requirements. Please contact BWS for more information.

What is Be Well Solutions Privacy Policy?

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information with the most advanced security systems available. Once you choose to provide us with your confidential information, you can be assured that it will only be used to support your relationship with us and will not be shared with anyone, without your permission.

What is an onsite Corporate Biometric Screening?

Be Well Solutions offers engaging and educational biometric screenings for corporations that assess cardiovascular risk factors and report them to participants in impactful ways to improve workplace wellness. Participants’ blood pressure, body mass index, cholesterol and glucose levels are measured by experienced medical professionals.

Participants receive their results in a Health Screening Report that details their numbers, normal ranges and lifestyle tips to help them maintain or improve their numbers. All participants attend a small group session, facilitated by a BWS physician or other Health Care Professional. Any participant can have a one-on-one session after the group session.

What is done with my information after I go through the screening?

After the biometric screening, your results are entered on www.bewelldata.com. Our 1024-bit SSL encryption protects the identity of our participants and pursuant to our privacy policy; Be Well Solutions does not share individual information with other parties including your organization. If your results from the screening warrant follow up, you may be contacted by a BWS Health Coach.

A summary of all participant information will be included in an Aggregate Report. This allows formulation of a strategic employee wellness plan for your organization. BWS Aggregate Reporting always protects the confidentiality and privacy of each individual participant.

Who conducts Corporate Biometric Screenings?

BWS. We do not outsource our services. We provide qualified health professionals (including, but not limited to, Physicians, Nurses, Dietitians and Health Coaches) to conduct the Biometric Screening.

Do I have to fast before my biometric screening? Why?

Be Well Solutions strongly encourages you to fast before the biometric screening. For the most accurate results, it is recommended that you fast for 10-12 hours before your screening.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are diabetic, fasting is not required. Please inform your nurse the day of the screening.

What is the Health Risk Assessment?

The Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is a survey that can be completed online or on paper. The HRA will gather information about your current health status, health behaviors, participation in preventive screenings and wellness program interests. The HRA should take you under 10 minutes to complete.

What is done with my information after I complete the Health Risk Assessment?

Similar to your biometric screening results, your responses are housed on portal.bewelldata.com. Our 1024-bit SSL encryption protects the identity of our participants and pursuant to our privacy policy; Be Well Solutions does not share individual information with your organization.

A summary of all participant information will be included in an Aggregate Report. This allows formulation of a strategic wellness plan for your organization. BWS Aggregate Reporting always protects the confidentiality and privacy of each individual participant.
